Ernest Dade (1868 - 1936)
Crabbing Coble off Filey Brigg, North Yorkshire

A stunning watercolour of a crabbing coble off Filey Brigg, which is clearly visible as a rocky outcrop, and is off the North Yorkshire coast. Dade was a Scarborough based artist who painted many marine scenes off the Yorkshire coast. He was also a member of the well known Staithes Group of artists. The letters clearly visible on the boat 'SH' refer to Scarborough. We believe this to be one of his finest paintings.

Watercolour    18" x 28"     Signed and inscribed with title verso.
