Robert Permain
We are delighted to welcome Robert Permain to The Wallington Gallery a local artist who finds inspiration in the surrounding countryside and shores.Robert studied art and graphic design in Newcastle to BA hons. but decided to progress a career as a Video Director and cameraman while painting mainly for leisure. Although he still works within the film and video industry he has now focussed on his love of painting. Painting both in oils and acrylics, many of his paintings feature some of the dramatic Northumberland landscapes and the magnificent Northumberland coast, carved by the power of nature. He also has a passion for wildlife and during his walks and travels, sketches and photographs birds and other wildlife. Some of these he has now painted and are available in our gallery, with promises of more to come.
