Jean Riley
Nativity Scene, Embroidered

This wonderful Nativity scene was created by Jean Riley a very talented embroiderer and in all took seven years to complete in 2004. The work is large and impressive and of an exceptionally high standard and has been framed to hang on a wall or stand on a table or flat surface.  The centre panel depicts the Virgin Mary and Joseph holding the baby Jesus. The right panels depicts the three wise men and the left panels the three shepherds visiting the manger.

The needlework is exquisite and the complex scene is a joy to behold.

The work would form a beautiful centrepiece for a Christmas display or a stand alone work of art.
