An Impressive oil painting by this famous Victorian artist of a well known scene on the North East coast. A very important painting of museum quality. The finest provenance possible in that it came from the New Bond Street Gallery of Richard Green, the UK'S top fine art dealer. It formed part of the collection of the late Dr and Mrs Robert Allison of Quarndon, Derbyshire, probably the finest collection of paintings by Niemann ever made, many of which were bought from Richard Green.
