Beautiful watercolour featuring the Low Lights at North Shields which along with the High Lights were used to guide ships into the Tyne. A good size and in perfect condition.

Signed and inscribed verso, dated 1912.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Rowland Henry Hill (1873-1952)

Born Halifax and studied at Halifax and Bradford School of Art. Member of the Staithes Group of artists. Exhibited at RA, and in many provincial galleries.

His work is held by the Imperial War Museum.
