Paul Oughton is a self taught artist and has been painting for four years. He lives and works from his studio in Houghton Le Spring. Paul’s work has featured in several exhibitions and he has held his own exhibition in London where original paintings sold well. He has a strong following in the North East of England where he is renowned for providing excellent quality original paintings at realistic prices affording many customers the opportunity  of owning original art.

Paul’s inspiration comes from his own life experiences and from in depth conversations with ordinary folk recounting their own childhoods having lived simple but happy lives and wishing they could turn the clock back to how things used to be.
