A fine example of this artists work. He used the technique of applying the paints onto wet paper which gave a blurred effect to the final painting. A distinctive style and a popular artist who exhibited at the RI, RBA and RA.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

David Woodlock (1842-1929)

Irish artist who painted  in watercolour, his subjects were country cottages and gardens. Moved to England and studied art at the Liverpool Academy. A founder member of the Liverpool Sketching Club. Exhibited widely and at the RI, RBA and RA.
