ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Alfred Heaton Cooper (1864-1929)

Born in Manchester and brought up in Bolton. Studied European art under George Clausen, London. Settled in Norway for a while where he lived and painted around Balestrand. He moved to to the Lake District, Cumbria and painted local scenes which were very popular with tourists to the area.
