Florence Hardy (1860 - 1933)

Florence Hardy. 1860-1933. Born Nottingham, settled in London after studying Art in Geneva, Berlin and Paris, where she won a bronze medal. She was a successful portrait, genre and still life painter in all media and became a member of the Pastel Society in 1898. One of her paintings was purchased by Queen Alexandra. She exhibited widely, including the Royal Academy, London, Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Scottish Academy, Nottingham Art Gallery, Manchester City Art Gallery, Royal Society of Artists, Birmingham, and many others.
