James Aitken (1854-1935)
Born in Newburgh, Fifeshire, Scotland. Father of John Ernest Aitken. Travelled throughout U.K. and Europe. Best known as an Isle of Man artist. Exhibited at R.A., and provincial galleries including many at The Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.
