ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Charles Edward Wilson (1854-1941)

Born in Whitehall, Derbyshire and attended Sheffield School of Art. He developed a style of painting featuring young girls and boys in rustic settings. His work is very popular and collectable. Exhibited at RA and Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. His work is held by the Victoria and Albert Museum. Featured in A Companion to Victorian and Edwardian Artists by Adrian Vincent.
