Born in Brighouse, Yorkshire, Sharp studied art at Bradford School of Art, Leeds School of Art, Royal College of Art and Central School of Arts and Crafts. He exhibited at RA, RBA, RI, ROI, RBSA and had a number of one-man shows, including Foyles Gallery.

Miles Balmford Sharp ARCA 1897-c.1980

Painter in oil and watercolour and printmaker dealing with landscape and architectural subjects. Born in Brighouse, Yorkshire, Sharp studied at Bradford Scool of Art, Leeds School of Art, Royal College of Art and the Central School of Arts and Crafts. He exhibited at RA, RBA, RI, ROI, RBSA and had a number of one man shows, including, Foyles Gallery. He was principal of Nuneaton Art School, 1925 - 52. His work is in about a dozen public collections, mainly in the north of England, including Rotheram Museum and Art Gallery, Yorkshire and Bootle Museum and Art Gallery. Lived in Exmouth, Devon.
