Lochranza castle was built as a hall-house in the late 1200s. Now a ruin, the L-shaped castle sits on a spit of land that extends into Lochranza and dominates the view from the village. I painted the castle at sunset, the colours of the sky and the castle are reflected in the calm loch. PRINT.
