This is a typical scene by Gustave, who concentrated on coastal scenes and fishing boats. He painted in a more impressionistic style in comparison to his brother Alfred Snr. Paintings by the Breanski family are still in great demand.

Gustave de Breanski (c.1856 - 1898)

The brother of Alfred de Breanski (Snr.) and a member of the famous family of painters his style was more impressionistic than his brother. He painted landsacapes but prefered to paint coastal scenes which often depicted fishing boats.
