Rowland Hilder (1905 - 1993)
Kent Oast House in the Snow

We are delighted to be offering this impressive watercolour by the renowned and ever-popular artist
Rowland Hilder OBE (1905-1993).

It is being offered for sale on behalf of a client. The painting was obtained at an art sale in the mid 90's and catalogued (see images - included in the sale of the painting) by his father.
The painting is of a Kent snow scene featuring Oast Houses and farm buildings and exquisitely painted in watercolours, so typical of his style and subject.
It measures 19" x 27.5" and the frame is  32" x 41". It has a cream line wash mount  and a deep white slip. Signed (lower left) and in excellent condition.

We are offering the painting for sale at £4,995.00 which we feel is a fair price for such an important piece. His Oast House scenes are highly sought after and collectable, as are his snow scenes.
The images have been taken behind glass and the actual painting is much better "in the flesh".
