Alfred Ainslie O'Brien (1912 - 1988)
South Shields Market Place

The works of O'Brien do not appear for sale very often. This is an excellent oil painting by a talented local artist who exhibited at the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle and owned his own gallery in Sunderland from the late  '60s.

This is a wonderful example of his work and a local scene to the artist.

Oil on board   15 1/2" x 19 3/4"   Signed with initials.
