Charles Rutherford
Whitley Bay, Moonlight

Featuring a couple walking back towards Whitley Bay on the Links between St Mary's lighthouse and Whitley Bay town.
This is an outstanding and extremely atmospheric moonlight scene by a Northumbrian artist whose work is not often seen although one of the gallery directors had one of St Mary's Lighthouse in their personal collection for many years. We are proud to offer this painting which must be one of the artist's finest works.
Oil on canvas  45,5cm x 75cm  Signed with the artist's monogram and dated (19)07.  Beautifully framed.
