Alan Reid Cook RSMA (1920-1974)
Born Gateshead he was a teacher of art at Ralph Gardiner School, Tynemouth and North Tyneside College. Exhibited his work at the Royal Society of Marine Artists and at the Laing Art gallery. Elected a member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists in 1973. His work is held at the Shipley Art gallery, Gateshead and the National Maritime Museum.
