Richard has painted and studied birds since early childhood. He has illustrated many books, including Birds of Prey of the World ( published by Mitchell Beasley 1991) and Sealife, a Guide to the Marine Environment (published by Pica Press 1996). He has held many exhibitions of his work and his artwork has also been reproduced as cards and prints.
He has led bird watching trips to the USA and Scandinavia and now lives in Colchester, Essex, where he has been studying the birds on the Fingeringhoe Marshes for over forty years.
Richard has just completed a book Richard Hull My Life on the Ranges in which he has illustrated all the species recorded at this site accompanied with notes on their past and present status.
