W Wasdell Trickett (fl 1921-1939)

Painter in oils and pastels of animals and equestrian subjects. In the 1930s, the artist frequented the Cavalry Barracks at Tidworth and Aldershot to obtain commissions where he charged £10 for a horse portrait, but if he was particularly hard up or thirsty, he would accept £5. He is also known to have had many clients in the horse racing community who commissioned him to paint their racehorses.
